Tesla Coil

This is a Tesla coil I filmed at the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. Invented by Nikola Tesla, it is defined as “a step-up transformer with an air core; used to produce high voltages at high frequencies.” Source: http://wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=tesla%20coil
For a definition of Tesla coils see: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Tesla+coil
And yes, I am aware that the credits run longer than the video!

Village of the Large Fountain

This is a replica of a fountain which was found in a place called the Village of the Large Fountain in Pompei. The replica is located at the Getty Villa near Malibu. It is easy to take water for granted, but it is important to see what a fountain means in the context of the village. Enjoy!

Storms, Arks, and Rainbows

I found the Noah’s Ark Exhibit at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles to be very interesting. I think it is great to re-purpose things and make such beautiful art and raise awareness about some important ideas.
